Contraception and Schizoaffective Disorder
In Judaism, it says that
”Orthodox Judaism is more restrictive. The methods of contraception allowed under Jewish law are those that do not damage the sperm or stop it getting to its intended destination. These are the contraceptive pill and the IUD.” Also goes on to say for Jewish men and women that “Contraception is permitted if childbearing would endanger a woman's life or health. Termination of pregnancy is also permitted to preserve a woman's health, including her mental health.”- Google. But modernity is proving to be more liberal than that.
In Catholicism they use the cycle method. That could be life threatening for a woman like me unless absolutely sure that she was healthy and prepared for a child. Unless of course you don’t have intercourse during marriage which seems to me absolutely conflicts with the old laws that a man should have sex with his wife to ordain the commitment.
I use an IUD for contraception and other Schizoaffectives write about it as well with their individual experience with this lifestyle. We are not living in a time of the Pharisees. Fundamentalist religious values are outdated and not guided by the women who share themselves and made men lucky. Fundamentalist are full of the devils trickery. They like to punish women for consenting to something that men also participated with. Fundamentalist men believe that whatever they do is important and women are to be betrayed as submissives, sluts and ultimately the caregivers they are like the nuns who actually share the gospel that we are discussing in this Journal. Be careful of the men who stand around looking impressive and using their role to belittle women who they treat to a pass to hell because they were like or respected by girls. And consider themselves worthy of heaven and all the privileges in life. Fundamentalist men shame you after THEY have committed adultery and consider themselves omitted from moral religious law.
Modernity has proven that scholars, who have taken the time to study all religions and their differences, promote messages of equality and respect for women. There’s not a lot of communication between religions, not a lot of people know that Islam and Judaism believe in Jesus as the prophet and person. Catholicism, however believes in the son of God, Jesus Christ.
I do believe in birth control for women, as well as abortion. It’s a woman’s decision she makes with her doctor. Doctors are going out on a limb for the men who sponsored nothing about having a child. Do you notice that doctors are the educated scholars I mentioned above? That’s what informing religion.
There’s also the pressure to women because men own 98% of the world’s wealth. In other times in history, women worked but today Feminism is the way forward. We seem to have lost our independent spirit. In my family, the women have always worked. My family knows what’s up. We work and have double income families and believe in the power of Jesus Christ.
