The Birth of Venus By Sandro Botticelli
I think people are taught what is beautiful in the time. One thing I learned in Art History class at University is that it isn’t what you do, it’s what you do and when. The Classical body used to be the most beautiful woman. The Birth of Venus - she had a tummy and her breasts weren’t that big. The Roman and Greek statues represent an ideal of the goddess that doesn’t necessarily get recognition nowadays.
I also come from a culture where it’s okay to be fat or full bodied. Women’s bodies aren’t weaponized for money or fame. There are lots of working women in other industries who are completely respected and well thought of by society and their partners.
I think that if you want to go into the modelling industry, they’re doing something particular and there is nothing wrong with doing something that hasn’t been done before. Not every woman will be happy with it or cut out for it. And that’s okay. You might not be cut out for it. But there are some people who fit the bill and are ecstatic to be a part of the trend.
I think the truth to life is to do something you feel passionate about and stop looking to others for comparison. If you want to be a model just know that your style might not be popular at this moment, doesn’t mean to feel badly about yourself. I also notice nothing about politics and religion… there’s no correlation whatsoeverrrr ??
