‘Restorative Journaling Through Difficult Times’

First off, thank you to all of you who have been reading my Journals so far. I am so grateful for you as my audience. It’s truly so much better to share the journey than live it alone. You mean so much to me. The inspiration for my new writing hobby is due to a book, S got me as an early Birthday present. It’s called ‘Restorative Journaling Through Difficult Times’ by Esme Weijun Wang. I know some of the content and subject matter of my blog can be heavy but that’s kind of the point. Thanks for sticking it out with me as we (hopefully) eliminate stigma through this discovery and share knowledge.

Last night was really rough. I didn’t get to sleep until the wee hours of the morning. I just transitioned onto this new medicine and I am still adjusting. *Sigh* What a difference it makes having people to talk to and distract me from the chaos. Thank you, thank you.. X a million.

Instead of going into the details of my symptoms, I just want to acknowledge all the people out there struggling with mental illness or disability. You are great, brave, strong, inspiring and beautiful. You push me to be better and it’s nice to be understood.

One of the toughest things about having this brain disease is that I can usually find evidence that what I experience is nothing short of the truth. It’s quite provocative at times. And I need to stay in check.

But this Journaling is teaching me to have confidence to open up about living this life. “Be the change you want to see in the world”- Gandhi, and share your story. Cheers*
